Growing up, Tom always had a keen interest in sport, in particular Rugby and Athletics. This interest and passion was enhanced further when studying Sport and Exercise science at Portsmouth University. During these years, he developed a particular interest in the training and nutritional demands across all sports. However, not satisfied with just focusing on Sporting Performance, he brought those skills to Personal Training.
Tom firmly believes that no matter what your background, training to have a strong and athletic physique, has benefits far out reaching just sports performance and can help through all walks of life. His real passions in the gym are for compound movements, in particular all varieties of deadlift and squat!
Throughout his successful career as a Personal Trainer, Tom has demonstrated the ability to apply the theoretical knowledge he has learnt to a wide variety of clients. This ensures individual guidance is given to help make sure their goals are achieved!

Having always had a keen passion for sport and well being, growing up playing football and tennis I developed an interest in running and in 2015 completed the Edinburgh marathon. During training for the marathon my passion for health and fitness grew and I enjoyed learning about all the different types of training.
I decided to continue my learning and develop my knowledge into a career as a personal trainer. I really enjoy working closely with people and get a buzz seeming my clients progress towards their goals.

In 1997 I took Anatomy and Physical and Swedish Massage at West Kent College. In 1998 I went to London School of Sports Massage and qualified in 1999.
In 2002 I took a Back Core course which left me with more questions than answers. I looked into doing either physiotherapy or osteopathy but neither could answer the questions I had about back pain and other strain injuries.
Over a thousand books and articles and frequent visits to Switzerland and India later, in May 2010, I found the answer, MFIT was born.
That day I shall remember for the rest of my life…
From that day new muscle-fascia release techniques unique to MFIT combined with new found knowledge. Many conditions only need a few treatments , which using traditional methods which can take months of appointments. ie. frozen shoulders, back or knee pain and other sports injuries.
